Founded in 1516 by Sigismund Ris (1431-1532), the ten manuscripts and most valuable printed books in this collection are now on deposit at the Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Tirol. Ris served as pastor in Flaurling (Austria). Included are theological texts by Peter Lombard and others.
